Humble Beginnings
Established in 1998 by Dave Bandauski, a former president of the PSAI and an experienced owner of a Portable Toilet operation in the suburbs of Chicago, Dave became aware of the need for upscale restrooms at major outdoor events. The journey began with a simple yet profound insight: outdoor events deserve upscale amenities.
From humble beginnings with just two mobile restroom trailers, Black Tie quickly rose to prominence, securing prestigious contracts such as the 1998 Ryder Cup in Boston for the PGA of America. With the help of his financial backer, Dave was able to purchase the restroom trailers from ACSI and fulfill his contractual obligations, fortifying Black Tie Product's unwavering dedication to their customers.
Expansion and Industry Leadership
Under the leadership of Bill McEnery, who acquired full ownership in 2003, Black Tie Products expanded their fleet and solidified partnerships nationwide, becoming synonymous with quality and expertise in the portable restroom industry.
In the following years, Black Tie expanded its footprint in the mobile restroom market and secured contracts nationwide, prompting a fleet expansion. By 2005 at the Boy Scout Jamboree, their fleet exceeded 100 trailers. Partnering with respected regional operators, Black Tie gained a reputation for industry expertise.
